Airport Security
For safety reasons carriage of certain goods in your baggage is forbidden:
- Explosives, ammunition and fireworks, detonators and fuses, replica/imitation explosive devices, mines, grenades, pyrotechnics, smoke canisters, smoke cartridges, dynamite, gunpowder or plastic explosives.
- Butane, lighter fuel, fire extinguisher, butane gas and other gases.
- Flammable liquids: dye, varnish, alcohol, paints, aerosols, except perfumes and medicines, bleach ,mercury acetone, petrol, some glue substances.
- Matches and lighters, phosphorus, sulfur, celluloid, calcium, carbide, sodium.
Only limited quantities of liquids may be carried through airport security into the departure gate. This includes bottled drinks, suntan lotion, fragrances, cosmetics and toiletries.
The following restrictions apply to all liquids, creams, gels, pastes and aerosols taken through security control:
- Each container should not exceed 100 ml
- Use a clear, resealable plastic bag
- Place resealable bag in hand luggage
- Maximum 1 litre capacity
Items, which are prohibited for carrying in or as a hand baggage:
- Sharp Items. This includes knives, razor blades, box cutters, scissors, axes, hatchets, cleavers, forks, bottle-openers, ice axes, ice picks, swords, sabres and sharp or pointed martial arts equipment, syringes and needles
- Tools. This includes crowbars, drills and drill bits, saws, blowtorches, bolt guns, nail guns, or any tool with a blade or shaft
- Blunt instruments. This includes baseball/softball bats, clubs, batons, night sticks and martial arts equipment.
- Stunning devices and incapacitating devices, including stun guns, Tasers, animal killers, incapacitating chemicals, gases or sprays, pepper sprays, tear gas and animal repellent sprays, arrows, harpoon guns
Pack personal belongings in your hand luggage.
Place laptops in an easily retrievable location as you will be asked to place in trays provided at the security checkpoint.
Never accept bags or packages from anyone, for whatever reason.
