Procedure for Servicing Passengers with Hidden Disabilities

The Heydar Aliyev International Airport serves passengers with hidden disabilities (IATA code: DPNA) on a priority basis, subject to the availability of an appropriate certificate issued by the “Together and Healthy” public union, as well as an international certificate.

Passengers who provide such certificates at the airport shall be presented appropriate lanyards according to the following model.

This lanyard helps employees of the aviation security service, check-in counter, as well as border and customs services at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport to identify passengers with hidden disabilities.

Serving Passengers with Hidden Disabilities in the Terminal 1

1. In order to get the appropriate lanyard, together with an accompanying person, you should approach the “Salam Service” desks located at the entrance in “A” or “B” zones of the Terminal 1 of the airport and present your certificate to get the lanyard.

2. Passenger who has received such a badge shall be inspected by aviation security officers and checked for a flight at the check-in counter on a priority basis.

3. After check-in, a passenger can pass through checkpoints of customs and border services in the departure zone on the third floor of the Terminal 1 on a priority basis.

4. After the boarding announcement, a passenger with hidden disability can approach the Priority boarding counter at the departure gate, where he/she will be allowed to board the aircraft on a priority basis.

Serving Passengers with Hidden Disabilities in the Terminal 2

1. In order to get the appropriate lanyard, you should, together with an accompanying person, approach the Silk Way Ground Handling information desks located at the north and south entrance of the Terminal 2 and present your certificate to get the lanyard.

2. Passenger who has received such a badge shall be inspected by aviation security officers and checked for a flight at the check-in counter on a priority basis.

3. After check-in, a passenger can pass through checkpoints of customs and border services in the departure zone on the second floor of the Terminal 2 on a priority basis.

4. After the boarding announcement, a passenger with hidden disability can approach the Priority boarding counter at the departure gate, where he/she will be allowed to board the aircraft on a priority basis.

Serving Arriving Passengers with Hidden Disabilities

1. Upon arrival at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport, it is necessary, together with an accompanying person, to approach the “ASAN Visa” counters and present a certificate. An appropriate lanyard shall be produced here for passengers with hidden disabilities.

2. Border guard officers shall ensure that the passenger goes through the passport control at a separate counter.

3. After collection of baggage, passengers with hidden disabilities shall be served by the customs control officers in the baggage claim area on a priority basis.
