Getting to the Airport (International Departures)

Heydar Aliyev International Airport is located approximately 20 km east of central Baku. Passengers departing on international flights are advised to confirm their departure terminal in advance and arrive at the airport with sufficient time before departure.

Terminal Information

• Terminal 1: Serves international flights only.
• Terminal 2: Also serves international flights from Terminal 2 North.

Passengers should check their flight details to ensure they proceed to the correct terminal.

Arriving with your own car (Including rental cars)

Passengers arriving by private or rental car should follow road signage and colour-coded lane markings leading to the terminals.

• The designated rental car handover and parking area is located in the Terminal 1 parking area.
• Only rental vehicles from companies operating at the airport are permitted to use the designated rental parking area:
  • SIXT
  • Hertz
  • AVIS
  • MyAuto
• Rental cars from other companies may be parked in general parking areas.

Luggage trolleys are available in parking and kerbside areas. Please follow the designated signage to locate trolley points.

Being dropped off by family, friends, taxi, or ridesharing services

Passengers may be dropped off by family members, friends, business partners, licensed taxis, or ridesharing services (Uber, Bolt, Yango) at the designated drop-off areas located in front of each terminal.

• Terminal 1: Drop-off available on the ground floor.
• Terminal 2: Drop-off available on both the ground floor and the second level.

Luggage trolleys are available in kerbside areas next to the drop-off locations. Please follow the designated signage to locate trolley points.

Follow airport signage to access terminal entrances safely.

Arriving with AeroExpress

AeroExpress provides regular bus service between the city and the airport.

• City departure point: 28 May area
• Intermediate stop: Koroğlu Transport Hub

Passengers are advised to consult the AeroExpress schedule and route map for accurate departure times and pick-up locations.

• Terminal 1: Aero Express drop-off on the ground floor.
• Terminal 2: Aero Express drop-off on the second level.

Luggage trolleys are available in kerbside areas next to the drop-off locations. Please follow the designated signage to locate trolley points.

Please follow airport signage to reach terminal entrances.

Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport well in advance of their scheduled departure time, especially during peak travel periods.
