Check-in (International Departures)

Check-in for international flights at Heydar Aliyev International Airport is available in Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 North. Passengers are advised to confirm their departure terminal in advance and follow airport signage upon arrival.

Check-in locations

  • Terminal 1 – International flights only
  • Terminal 2 North – International flights

All passengers entering the terminal buildings must first pass through an initial security inspection. After clearing security, passengers should follow Flight Information Display Screens (FIDS) and wayfinding signage to locate their airline’s assigned check-in counters.

Terminal 1 check-in

The check-in area in Terminal 1 is divided into two zones, both located on the ground level:

  • Zone A
  • Zone B

Passengers should consult FIDS to confirm their check-in zone and counter assignment.

Terminal 2 North check-in

All check-in counters at Terminal 2 North are located on the second level.

  • Passengers who dropped off on the second level may proceed directly to the check-in area.
  • Passengers dropped off on the ground level should enter the terminal and proceed to the second level using escalators or elevators.

Check-in counters at GYD are assigned dynamically, and passengers should rely on FIDS and terminal signage.

Self check-in kiosks

Self check-in kiosks are available at:

  • Terminal 1 (Zone A and Zone B)
  • Terminal 2 North check-in area

Self check-in is currently available for:

  • Azerbaijan Airlines
  • Turkish Airlines
  • Kuwait Airways

Passengers are advised to refer to the kiosks for the latest list of participating airlines.

Baggage information

Requirements for checked baggage and cabin luggage vary by airline. Passengers are advised to consult their airline’s official website for detailed baggage rules and allowances.
