Heydar Aliyev International Airport provides supportive procedures for arriving passengers with invisible (hidden) disabilities, including cognitive, neurological, mental health, and autism-spectrum conditions. These disabilities may not be immediately visible, but passengers may require additional understanding or assistance during arrival formalities.
Identification and lanyards (arrivals)
Passengers with invisible disabilities may request a special identification lanyard upon arrival. The lanyard helps airport and state service staff discreetly recognize passengers who may require additional support during arrival procedures.
Where to obtain a lanyard (arrivals only)
Terminal 1 – International Arrivals
Passengers are advised to request the lanyard before proceeding to immigration, as this allows staff to provide appropriate support throughout the arrival process.
