Next stage of practical training on the ResQtec R2S system conducted

19 May 2026

Next stage of practical training on the evacuation of disabled aircraft was held at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport. The training was organized based on the Rapid Recovery System (R2S) technology developed by ResQtec and covered operational procedures for the safe evacuation of severely damaged aircraft that are unable to move on their own landing gear.

Situations in which an aircraft cannot move on its own wheels due to severe damage to one or more landing gear struts or their detachment from the aircraft structure are considered complex aviation incidents requiring a high level of operational readiness and the application of specialized technical solutions.

The R2S system, developed by ResQtec, enables the safe evacuation of aircraft in complex operational conditions without causing additional damage to either the runway or the aircraft itself. The system is designed for the safe lifting and recovery of large next-generation aircraft and complies with operational approaches used in international aviation practice.

It should be noted that the Rapid Recovery System (R2S) technology by ResQtec had previously been integrated into the technical infrastructure of Heydar Aliyev International Airport. Within this framework, employees completed practical training by participating in international training programs held both in the Czech Republic and in Baku.
